Different models
The principle behind creating low fog is always the same: the generated fog must be heavier than the surrounding air so that it stays close to the floor and does not rise too quickly. However, the way in which the fog is made heavier varies depending on the technology used to generate it. Many models use dry ice, which cools the fog and causes it to sink to the floor. However, since the use of dry ice involves certain risks, it is usually unsuitable for beginners and occasional users. EUROLITE low fog machines therefore use other methods: ice cubes or water.
EUROLITE NB ICE low fog machines
The machines in the NB-ICE series use standard ice cubes for cooling. Depending on the model, up to 4 kg of ice cubes can be filled into the designated compartment, as with the NB-150. After use, the machines can be easily emptied and cleaned using a drainage system.
EUROLITE WLF low fog machines
The models in the WLF series use a different principle: ultrasound atomizes the tap water that has been added and mixes it with the fog fluid particles, making the generated fog heavier overall than the surrounding air. As a result, the dense clouds of fog sink to the floor.
Fluid
To prevent the clouds of fog from remaining in the room for too long, warming up and eventually turning into room-filling haze, we recommend a high-density fluid with a short hang time. This prevents the low fog from spreading throughout the room. Instead, it remains as a cloud close to the floor and then dissipates.
